With its striking leaf coloration, this handsomely bushy, robust plant is an eye catcher wherever displayed!

Light:   High to very high light (near sunny south or east window)

Temperature:     65F to 80F  (18C to 26C) can tollorate 40F   (4C) without damage.

Water:  Allow the surface of the potting mixture to dry out between waterings.

Humidity: Hight (40% or more)

Fertilization: Apply every 3 months in organic potting mixtures; apply monthly in pea gravel mixtures.

Special care:   Cut back to 6-8 inches  (15 - 20 cm)   from potting mixture to stimulate bushiness.  Repot annually if plant grows rapidly, using well - aerated potting soil containing 50 organic matter.

Common problems: If few or no flowers appear, move to higher light.

(ag-low-NEE-muh     kom-mew-TAY-tum)

Will grow to 3 feet (90cm) with fairly large leaves.  The "Silver King,"  which has dark green foliage with silver radiating out from  the main vein of the leaf, is prized because  it can grow in dimly  lit corners, hallways darker rooms, in the artificial light of an office building, and in situations where few other plants will survive.

Even if they were less attractive, aglaonemas would probably continue to be enormously popular, for they can grow almost anywhere!

Light:   Low light (minimum light to read by)

Temperature:     70F to 80F  (21C to 26C) can tolerate  50F   (10C) without damage.

Water:   Keep the potting mixture moist at all times, but not saturated.
